Data insights are vital to any organisation in order to better understand their customers and market. As Frontend Developer at Whispr Group, you will be an important part of an exciting journey, where you will build a unique solution for data processing, insight and visualization!

ABOUT THE POSITION

In this position you will be joining a young, fun and energetic company with a creative atmosphere and a flexible view on work/life balance. Whispr Group has developed their own analytics tool to process and visualize data, custom made to the kind of analysis they do for their clients. The foundation and analysis engine is built already and your job will be, together with Whispr Groups CTO, to extend and enrich the functionality of the tool and build the surrounding application and solutions. This solution will drastically streamline the analysis process for Whispr Groups team and will in time also include customer facing tools.

The engine is written in C with a C# .NET Core based web API layer on top, and a web-based frontend which will be your focus. The main frontend is a SPA written mainly in TypeScript with some pure JavaScript parts, heavy usage of SVG, and using an in-house UI library.

YOUR SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

We are quite open when it comes to your exact background. The most important thing is your drive, ambition and attitude. You love programming and have solid experience of developing and solving issues in JavaScript and/or TypeScript. We would like to see that you have built at least one product from scratch (built, test, release, maintained). It is a big plus if you have first-hand experience with developing content creation tools, or other editors of similar complexity.

As a person, we hope that you are open, interested and ambitious. It is a big plus if you are used to handling issues and projects on your own and are comfortable talking to stakeholders and business representatives. We would also like to see that you are used to a startup kind of culture where things can move fast and that you are not reliant on structure.

In summary:
-Excellent JavaScript programmer.
-Extensive experience with TypeScript or other programming languages with similar generic programming functionality.
-Excellent skills in HTML, CSS, and SVG.
-Previous experience from a significant role in the development and maintenance of at least one major shipped piece of software
-Ability to design and implement robust, performant, and complete solutions (without relying on 3rd party libraries) to non-trivial problems.
-Experience working on a content creation tool.
-Familiarity with node-based systems, for example: Maya Node Editor, Unreal Blueprint, Unity Node/Shader Graph, and LabVIEW
-Enjoy working in smaller teams and with more responsibility.
-Excellent understanding of English (reading, speaking, writing).

(Nice-to-have)
-At least five years’ experience in building and maintaining non-trivial software systems.
-Experience developing or maintaining a node-based tool.
-Experience with d3js.
-Experience with WebGL.
-Familiarity with the API design and philosophy of JavaScript libraries such as: D3.js, React, Angular, and Vue.
